This fun event takes place every two years at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for Wisconsin middle and high schools that offer Italian as part of their curriculum.

The event has been sponsored by WisItalia, the Center for European Studies (UW), the French and Italian Department (UW), the Italian Workmen's Club of Madison and Dolci-Italian-American Sweets, LLC.

Italian Day 2011L'Italia unita (1861-2011) - Welcome to Italian Day 2011, A Celebration of Italy for Middle and High School Students. On Thursday, April 14, 2011, middle and high school students participated in the 4th Italian Day event held at the UW-Madison campus. This fun event takes place every two years among some of the schools that offer Italian as part of their curriculum.

2008 WisItalia Teacher of the YearOn March 6, 2007, high school students participated in an Italian Day event, held at the UW-Madison, WI campus. To test their proficiency, the students participated in Italian language competitions (i.e, poetry, skits and a poster contest).
