Trinity Academy goes to Rome

March 25 - April 6, 2010

Trinity Academy in Pewaukee will embark on its annual trip to Rome, Italy from March 25 to April 6, 2010. Every year, they visit Rome in the spring, usually around Easter. This year, they are taking a group of 15 students and 5 faculty. The students are a mix of 8th grade and high school students. One of the travelers this year is taking Italian IV, and another is in Italian III. The group plans to tour ancient, religious, and cultural sites throughout Rome and the surrounding areas, including Assisi, Florence, Orvieto, Siena, and possibly Naples. As head of the Italian Language Program, Dr. Elizabeth Mitchell will be leading the trip.

Rome, Italy - Trinity Academy students from Pewaukee, WI The two girls in the photo went on Trinity's trip last year – the girl in blue, Rachel Kolbeck, won the Italian Language Award for excellence in Italian study at Trinity's 2009 graduation, and the girl in white is a Junior, named Ellie Banholzer, who is making her fourth trip to Rome with Trinity. Her older sister Abby graduated from Trinity (also making a total of four trips to Rome), studied four years of Italian at Trinity and now studies Italian at Catholic University of America. She is currently doing a study abroad program in Rome this semester, and the group plans to visit with her in Rome this year!
